Lisa, a 26-year cancer survivor and early widow, draws on her personal experiences as a patient, caregiver, and educator to emphasize the importance of building skills to handle health crises, leading to more informed decision-making and potentially better outcomes.
Key features of the app include joining community groups for interaction with fellow members, listening to insightful guest interviews on the Take Good Care Podcast, engaging in weekly journal prompts, enrolling in the Empathetic Healthcare Practices Course for expert guidance (available via in-app purchase), and receiving a complimentary Notebook + Calendar Companion upon course subscription. This companion includes essential resources such as course notes, a 12-month calendar, glossary of terms, and dedicated sections for vital healthcare appointments.
